The wedding will take place on 16th July, 2022 at The Vintage House Hotel, an idyllic and tranquil riverside location at Pinhão in the heart of the Douro Valley. The Douro is one of Europe’s oldest and most beautiful wine regions, a breath-taking World Heritage site that offers one of Europe’s most unforgettable vineyard experiences.
Accommodation at The Vintage House

Situated in a former 18th-century wine estate, this luxury hotel overlooks vineyards and the Douro Valley. It has an outdoor pool with panoramic river views and offers 50 spacious guest rooms with furnished balconies.
Rooms at the The Vintage House, Douro include luxury bedding and modern furnishings. They come equipped with air conditioning, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels.
In the morning the hotel serves a breakfast buffet. The elegant Rabelo Restaurant features vaulted ceilings and offers regional cuisine. There is also an intimate bar with chandeliers and a fireplace.
Guests can relax on a poolside sun lounger. The Vintage House Hotel has a tennis court and an on-site shop with wine tasting rooms. Nearby leisure activities include port and wine tasting, hiking and boat trips.
The Vintage House, Douro is located in Pinhão, 50 yards from the Douro River. The hotel offers 24-hour front desk service and free private on-site parking (with limited parking spaces).

If you would like to stay in alternative accommodation, we would recommend being no further than 15 - 20 minutes away from the Vintage House Hotel for the wedding weekend. Please see below for some alternative options.
Car hire:
If you are extending your stay to have a holiday in the area we would recommend hiring a car to explore the Douro region, as it is very remote.
If you decide to travel back to Porto for a few days following the wedding weekend, a car is not as essential as the transport links and amenities within Porto are more accessible.
